A Tyrolean guesthouse in Pillerseetal with tradition

Local delicacies at the Strasserwirt

Enjoy traditional as well as modern Tyrolean cuisine and Austrian classics in our cosy Tyrolean “Stuben” little dining rooms, our “Bauernstube”, or on our wonderful wooden terrace with views of the Buchensteinwand mountain with the “Jakobskreuz”. Stay at our authentic Tyrolean guesthouse; we are right next to the Steinbergrunde cycle path, or the Pillerseetal Loipe for cross-country skiing in winter.

When devising our menus, we regard it as very important to use fresh, seasonal ingredients, as much as possible from the local region. You are sure to love our creative dishes using wild garlic, asparagus, and lamb in spring, or berries, mushrooms, venison or pumpkin in summer or autumn. Throughout the year, enjoy Tyrolean specialities at the Strasserwirt such as Tyroler Gröst'l, Käsespätzle, or dumpling specialities, for example our Kas‘pressknödel, which appears as an entry in the recipe book produced by the Landhotels group.

“The Strasserwirt is the oldest guesthouse in the Kitzbühel district, with official documentation as a tavern going back to as early as 1377.”

Award-winning Tyrolean guesthouse with a culinary heritage

As a member of “Tyroler Wirtshaus” and “Landhotels Austria”, we strive to use mainly regional specialities and produce from local farms and our own herb garden. We are able to offer fresh trout from the Kalter throughout the year thanks to the Trixl fishery in Fieberbrunn, as well as venison from the Loferer Steinberge, and fluffy fresh Kaiserschmarrn or Moosbeerschmarrn.

Home-made delicacies and regional specialities

Our team in the kitchens conjure up wonderful fresh dishes using regional produce, home-made filled pasta, fresh vegetables, and premium quality meat and fresh fish. Whether you are after some light refreshment to keep you going, or want a romantic dinner for 2, the wide range on offer in our menu has plenty to suit every taste and age.

Enjoy ice cream in summer, and on warm summer evenings you can also enjoy specialities from the grill on our comfortable wooden terrace (some of which also has heating). Spend unforgettable winter evenings in friendly surroundings and enjoy a delicious fondue or the “Bauernbuffet”.

Enjoy fine wines

When it comes to the drinks, regional delights also apply. The landlord selects fine wines for your delectation, not only the quality and diversity of the Austrian wines, but also with wines from all over the world. Enjoy the pleasure of a good bottle of wine, for example the Landhotels wine, a bubbly glass of sparkling wine, or a hearty beer. Cyclists and cross-country skiers especially enjoy our “Naturradler”, a light shandy.
